This grant valued at approximately $546,000 over two years, will support research being conducted at GenVec.
Rick King, senior vice president of research at GenVec, said: “A key objective of this grant is to expand our understanding of how pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) influences blood vessel growth in the eye. We believe that research conducted under this grant may lead to the discovery and testing of improved strategies to treat neovascular diseases of the eye.”
