In a double-blind, randomized, controlled trial involving 164 women, Tao Harmony has been shown to reduce hot flash frequency in 83.5% of women. In those women, the number of hot flashes has been reduced by 82% and of the remaining hot flashes; the intensity was reduced by 57%.
Women in the study also reported improvement in sleep (84.7% versus 44.3% with placebo) and improved mood (77.6% versus 34.2% with placebo). The study also found that 92.9% of women taking Tao Harmony generally felt better than they did prior to starting the study. Side-effects were no more than with placebo.
