Eisai, Johns Hopkins in neurological drug discovery research collaboration

JHU has established the Johns Hopkins Brain Science Institute (JHBSi) which is held in translational research.

As per the signed agreement, JHBSi will provide Eisai with neurological drug discovery targets.

Eisai in return will provide JHBSi with access to its proprietary library of chemical compounds to conduct discovery research and to discover clinically viable compounds.

Eisai will have rights to develop and market any resulting compounds that meet certain criteria in terms of research and development milestones.

Eisai will provide JHU with upfront and milestone payments as well as royalties on future sales for each licensed compound.
