EMD Millipore contract research laboratory obtains CLIA certification

The laboratory testings performed on humans in the US are regulated by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to make sure the precision, reliability and timeliness of tests through CLIA.

EMD Millipore discovery and development services vice president Christina Shasserre said, "The addition of CLIA requirements enables us to bring those standards to the next level and help our customers make their pipeline decisions in confidence."

The company’s discovery and development solutions business that provides outsourced bioanalytical services is a part of Merck’s life science division.
