European Medicines Agency selects Xirrus for wireless connectivity

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has selected Wi-Fi Arrays from US based privately held company Xirrus to achieve wired performance wirelessly for voice and collaboration applications across its buildings.

Xirrus said its Wi-Fi Arrays deliver a robust, high capacity network with unreserved wireless coverage, seamlessly achieving a solid Wi-Fi connection.

EMA Information and Communications Technology head Hans-Georg Wagner said their offices host thousands of International delegates and committee members who all require seamless wireless connectivity.

"Xirrus Arrays supplied us with fast and secure roaming, achieving superior coverage for our future VoIP and unified collaboration projects. Installing Xirrus solved our wireless network issues, allowing us to deliver perfect wireless connectivity to our end users," Wagner said.

"We are now capable of flawlessly supporting our internal evaluation and research applications wirelessly. From the site survey to the installation, Xirrus delivered on all of their promises."
