news.Parexel International, a provider of knowledge-based contract research, medical communications and consulting services, has appointed Mark Goldberg as its new COO.

Dr Goldberg previously served as president of clinical research services and perceptive informatics at Parexel. Dr Goldberg will continue to oversee these areas of the company and report to Josef Rickenbach, chairman and CEO of Parexel.
Dr Goldberg holds a degree in computer science and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MD degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Mr Rickenbach said: “Dr Goldberg has been an asset to Parexel’s executive management team for more than 11 years. We look forward to his continued contributions in meeting our operational and financial goals, and solidifying our position as a global leader in full service clinical development.”
