Union Dental to acquire dental facility in Charlotte

Union Dental Holdings has entered into a purchase agreement to acquire Jakubek Dental in Charlotte, North Carolina, as part of its strategy to buy dental practices in heavily populated union areas where it has contracts with local and national labor unions to build a dental network.

As a part of these labor contracts, the union will not endorse any other dental network. In the Charlotte area, Union Dental Holdings (UDHI) has a national contract with AFA-CWA representing 21 airlines including US Air which has its headquarters in Charlotte.

UDHI also has a contract with the CWA Telecoms in Charlotte and Gastonia, North Carolina. The facility will incorporate all aspects of dentistry including oral & maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, pedodontics, prosthodontics as well as general dentistry.

Dr Green, president and CEO of UDHI, said: “We have tremendous support from the labor unions and UDHI wants to capitalize on its 20-year relationship with these unions of providing quality dentistry to CWA members. This new facility will be state-of-the-art in dental delivery with plenty of room for future expansion. The practice is currently profitable, low sale priced, and the addition of this new business clientele will make success a virtual certainty.”
