Previously, Mr Zook had been heading the company on an interim basis. In addition to MedImmune, Mr Zook is also responsible for AstraZeneca’s US and Canadian businesses, as well as AstraZeneca’s global marketing organization.
Mr Zook, said: “I am pleased to continue working with the leadership team here at MedImmune to advance our strategic plan to discover, develop and deliver innovative biologic treatments that can positively impact patient health.”
