FDA approves Onco Therapies Cisplatin injection

Onco Therapies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Strides Arcolab, has received US Food and Drug Administration approval for Cisplatin injection.

Cisplatin is a chemotherapy drug used to treat various types of cancers, including sarcomas, carcinomas, lymphomas, and germ cell tumors.

Cisplatin injection is available in 1mg/mL packages in 50mL and 100mL multiple dose vials.

In January 2010, Cisplatin was licensed to Pfizer for the US market and is anticipated to be launched shortly.
