The dietary supplements are sold under brand names including SynBio, SynOPC, BoneCare, SynBio-X, SynOPC-X, VisionCare, CardioCare, SynGevity, SynVita, SynCell, SynPhyto-K, DigestiveCare, JointCare and SynOmega.
The US marshals seized the products, which were not FDA-approved, following a complaint lodged in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
According to the complaint, the products did not comply with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and thus could not be introduced into interstate commerce.
The supplements claimed to treat diseases such as asthma, cardiovascular disease, cataracts, glaucoma and infections.
