Fette establishes competence centre in Goa

Fette Compacting Machinery India (FCI) has unveiled INR50m competence centre in Goa to test and analyze the flowability and compressibility of its domestic and multinational pharma clients’ tablets with an aim to improve the quality of the end products.

Chennai-based Fette, the Indian subsidiary of the Germany-based machine tool manufacturer Fette Compacting, imports and serves tablet pressing machines to the Indian pharma firms.

The Goa facility will allow customers to run trials on the machines under production conditions.

Business-standard has quoted Fette MD Venkatasubramanian as saying that the company will offer laboratory facilities for compression trials and sample production, basic trials to analyze material properties of tablet mixture and support in proof of concept studies for Indian clients through the facility.

Reportedly, FCI has already supplied almost 80 machines to Indian pharma firms such as Cipla, Dr Reddy’s, Lupin, IPCA and Micro Labs.
