General Dynamics, TIBCO partner to offer HIPAA 5010, ICD-10 transition solution

US based General Dynamics Information Technology and TIBCO Software have partnered to aid customers with their HIPAA 5010 and International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision (ICD-10) testing and conversion strategy.

TIBCO will now incorporate General Dynamics’ ViPS’ NAV-10 technology into its selected Foresight products.

The NAV-10 Code Translation Suite is an integral part of the General Dynamics’ ICD-10 Readiness Solutions software which helps organizations clearly understand the impacts and costs of the mandated transition to ICD-10.

The software also offers enterprise-wide migration solutions, including analysis and determination tools, which save time and money for healthcare organizations.

General Dynamics Information Technology Health IT Solutions vice president and general manager Art Lehrer said the company will help customers meet the new ICD-10 requirement cost effectively and on schedule through the TIBCO partnership.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) 5010 has established a set of standards for electronic transactions for health care data, and will serve as a precursor to the ICD-10 transition.
