GeneTex to unveil Histone H3 (phospho Ser10) antibody

GeneTex is planning to launch a new antibody, Histone H3 (phospho Ser10) against phosphorylated Histone H3.

Histone proteins package and organize the DNA of eukaryotic cells into structural units called as nucleosomes and the modification of histone tails plays a key role in the gene transcription modulation.

The company’s new antibody will assist researchers to further know the role played by histone phosphorylation in epigenetic processes.

The antibody has also been approved for western blotting in human and mouse samples as well as for immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence.

The recent evidence has noted that the phosphorylation of Histone H3 at Ser10 stimulates Lys14 acetylation and may also act in preventing the abnormal phosphorylation of Histone H3 at other sites during mitosis.
