Gerresheimer invests in three prefilled-syringes production lines

Gerresheimer’s three existing production lines for RTF syringes (Ready-To-Fill syringes) at the Bunde plant (Germany) are now to be supplemented by an additional, latest-generation line.

Gerresheimer is now ramping up its production capacity and investing around EUR20m in a fourth production line for prefilled syringes which will be completed in 2012.

The new line will then add an annual capacity of up to 120 million syringes.

Gerresheimer CEO Uwe Rohrhoff said that the technical know-how of their Syringe Competence Centre in Bunde makes it the ideal platform for further growth.
