Global pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is set to invest $7m in two production lines at its Brasov plant in Romania over a three-year period.

The investment is intended for the manufacturing of the antidepressant Seroxat and the HIV treatment Retrovir, business-review.ro reported.
The site has quoted GSK Romania general manager Pascal Prigent as saying that the company plans to transfer the production of global GSK brands to the Brasov plant and increase the number of countries to which its products are exported.
The Brasov plant is now exporting drugs to more than 80 countries. France and Italy consitute almost 24% of the company’s total exports.
