Health Canada has also started enquiring the company’s customers regarding the ways and means used by it in testing a product.
According to Health Canada’s enquiry, the company has conducted only partial tests for the products before they entered the Canadian market.
As a precautionary step, the companies that have tested their products by Chemi Pharmaceutical were directed by Health Canada to temporarily stop selling the products till receiving clearance.
As on 6 December 2012, Health Canada had asked 8 companies to stop sale of their respective products that went through testing in Chemi Pharmaceutical.
