Honeywell Seals Distribution Agreement With CFP Flexible Packaging

Honeywell has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with CFP Flexible Packaging (CFP). With this agreement, CFP will become the main distributor of certain Honeywell Capran nylon films in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

CFP is expected to sell Capran 1200, 1500, 1500M, 2500 and 2500M. These films are manufactured at Honeywell’s Pottsville plant in Pennsylvania.

The company claims that Capran films are simultaneously bi-axially oriented nylon 6 films, also known as BOPA films, with toughness, clarity and superior oxygen-barrier characteristics.

Doug Wilson, global business manager of flexible packaging business at Honeywell, said: “The European packaging industry requires film technology that offers superior barrier capabilities with more flexibility – key attributes of Capran films. CFP’s established presence will help us reach more customers in this important region.”

Maurizio de Costanzo, chief executive officer of CFP, said: “Honeywell barrier films are known throughout the industry for their performance and reliability. We’re pleased to offer Honeywell Capran flexible films to the European packaging market.”

In addition to Capran, Honeywell manufactures Aclar moisture-barrier films for pharmaceutical packaging and PowerShield backing film for photovoltaic panels.
