The MycoDiverse library is a collection of 10,000 refined fractions from fermentations of higher fungi, developed using the company’s technology to stimulate secondary metabolite production.
The collection is said to be a proven source of novel lead compounds against difficult therapeutic targets, including protein-protein interactions.
Ferrer’s R&D director Dr Antonio Guglietta said with the collaboration the company can make use of Hypha’s expertise and skill in the field of natural products and their’s in the discovery and development of new anti-microbial drugs.
