IDT is the supplier of custom nucleic acids in the US, serving academic, government and commercial researchers in biotechnology, clinical diagnostics and pharmaceutical development.
The novel proprietary probe design positions an internal ZEN quencher 9 bases from the 5′ fluorophore, which when combined with the standard 3′ quencher, decreases background fluorescence and increases sensitivity.
Due to the incorporation of ZEN, the initial background fluorescence signal is much lower, making subsequent changes easily detectable while assay sensitivity is increased.
