India-based Protech Biopharma eyes Kazakhstan market

Protech Biopharma, an India-based maker of pharmaceutical products, is eyeing to enter the Kazakhstan market.

The Indian firm recently received a high-level delegation from Kazakhstan that was led by Pharmaceutical Assessment Department chief Ardak U Tulegenova.

The delegation inspected the company’s manufacturing unit in Kashmir from where it exports medicines to overseas.

Kazakhstan Pharmaceutical Assessment Department head Ardak U Tulegenova was quoted by Greaterkashmir.com as saying that the team would look into the quality control system of the facility.

"We will submit the report about the unit and then only this company will be allowed to supply medicines to our country," Tulegenova told Greaterkashmir.com.

For the last two years, the company has been exporting medicines to Central Asian countries and recently approached Kazakhstan authorities, following which the country sent a team to check the infrastructure and working conditions of the facility.
