IntrinsiQ, eClinicalWorks Partner To Integrate Chemotherapy Management, EMR/PM Systems

IntrinsiQ, a provider of medical oncology clinical information systems, has partnered with eClinicalWorks to integrate IntrinsiQ’s chemotherapy management solution IntelliDose with the eClinicalWorks unified Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) solution to give oncology practices a complete health information system.

eClinicalWorks’ unified solutions allow patient data to be shared within a network of physicians, while streamlining workflow, enhancing charge capture and eliminating the paper charts. More than 40,000 providers and 120,000 healthcare professionals across all 50 states rely on eClinicalWorks.

IntelliDose transforms the manual process of chemotherapy regimen calculations into electronically verified orders. It allows oncology practices to standardize cancer treatment pathways, and ensure the highest levels of patient safety and efficiency practice-wide.

IntelliCharge, the charge capture module of IntelliDose, automates chemotherapy coding and billing. Using detailed information from nurse charting steps, complete encounter information – including infusion time, type, and number of drugs – is sent directly to practice management or billing systems saving time, eliminating lost charges, and optimizing reimbursement. Both IntelliDose and IntelliCharge interface with eClinicalWorks to integrate clinical and billing information into the patient record.

Girish Kumar Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks, said: “There’s a reason IntelliDose is trusted by oncologists nationwide: It was created by oncologists for the specific demands of managing chemotherapy. The pairing of eClinicalWorks software and IntelliDose results in an end-to-end oncology management solution that meets the current and future needs of oncology practices of all sizes as well as hospitals and health systems.”

Jeff Forringer, president of IntrinsiQ, said: “After partnering for joint customer implementations, we’re pleased to formalize our relationship with eClinicalWorks. With seamless data-sharing, physicians, nurses, practice administrators, and IT professionals spend less time on coordinating records – and more time on providing high-quality patient care.”

eClinicalWorks is a privately held provider of ambulatory clinical systems market.
