Jarrow Formulas launches phospholipid-bound omega-3 supplement

The omega-3 fish oil nutritional supplement is thought to have higher bioavailability than ordinary fish oils.

Jarrow Formulas marketing director Rory Lipsky said, "PhosphOmega provides omega-3s in both the triglyceride and phospholipid forms, just as nature intended. Much has been made of the value of consuming omega-3s, but the body only benefits if the omega-3s are absorbed."

The phospholipids in PhosphOmega are self-emulsifying, which increases the body’s ability to utilize them, the company said.

The company’s line of nutritional products includes vitamins, minerals, probiotics, standardized herbal concentrates, amino acids, enzymes and enteral nutrition products.
