news.Lanxess, Indian specialty chemicals company, is set to enhance the production of thionyl chloride by 20% at its Nagda site in Madhya Pradesh, India.

Thionyl chloride is an intermediate used by industrial customers to manufacture agrochemicals, dyestuffs, fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
The company expects to complete the expansion in the second half of 2012.
The Lanxess Nagda operations are part of the business unit Advanced Industrial Intermediates, which in turn is part of the Advanced Intermediates segment of Lanxess.
