McMaster University has signed an affiliation agreement with Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) to facilitate collaboration by and between McMaster’s academic investigators and the industry experienced drug development professionals at CDRD.

The Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) provides drug development expertise and infrastructure to enable researchers from leading academic and health research institutions to advance promising, early-stage drug candidates.
Elsie Quaite-Randall, executive director of McMaster Industry Liaison Office (MILO), said: “As an affiliated institution of the Centre for Drug Research and Development, McMaster University can augment the strengths of our research community by accessing the full drug-development expertise and infrastructure at CDRD.”
Karimah Es Sabar, senior vice president of business and strategic affairs for CDRD, said: “The Centre for Drug Research and Development continues to expand its project development pipeline and support the commercialisation of health research projects.
“We are excited to begin working with the researchers at McMaster University, and believe that both organisations share a goal to translate academic research into new medical therapeutics.”
