Medis Completes Construction Of Bolatice Packaging Plant

Plant will offer packaging services for pharmaceutical solid and liquid oral dosage forms, including both tablets and capsules

Czech Republic-based contract manufacturing organisation, Medis International has completed construction of its new 2,700sqm pharma packaging plant in Bolatice, reported in-Pharma Technologist.

Reportedly, the company officials said that the facility will provide its customers with primary and secondary packaging services for pharmaceutical solid and liquid oral dosage forms, including both tablets and capsules.

As a key feature, Medis has emphasised on the plant’s Uhlmann high-speed blistering line. The company claims that the new unit will save its customers both time and money.

Petr Bulej, business development manager at Medis, said that the company anticipates the US Food and Drug Administration and the EU approved good manufacturing practice (GMP) accreditation in the fourth quarter of 2009.
