news.MedMira Inc. (MedMira), a developer and marketer of rapid diagnostic technology and solutions, has appointed Andre Archimbaud to the company's board of directors. Archimbaud takes the place of David Harris, who resigned from MedMira's board of directors after serving a two year term as a director. Archimbaud is an executive with experience in the life sciences sector, serving in various roles in the industry for more than 25 years.

Most recently Archimbaud served as senior vice president, life sciences for the Societe Generale de Financement (SGF) du Quebec, a government-owned investment entity contributing to the development of life sciences both locally and internationally. Prior to SGF, Archimbaud was the president and chief executive officer of Kinetek Pharmaceuticals Inc. Archimbaud also held progressively senior roles in sales, marketing, business development and licensing in his 20 years with Ipsen Beaufour, a European pharmaceutical company.
