Merck rebrands animal division

Merck has renamed its animal health division Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health as Merck Animal Health.

Merck’s animal division, which will be known as MSD Animal Health outside Canada and the US, focuses on research, manufacturing, development and sale of veterinary drugs and vaccines.

Merck Animal Health is present in more than 50 countries, while its products are available in some 150 markets.

Going forward, Merck intends to leverage across both animal and human health and capitalize on the portfolio of the animal health division.

Merck Animal Health president Raul Kohan said they aim to generate additional value and sustained growth by continuing to provide integrated solutions with animal health products and services to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
