The new AutoVISION machine vision includes the addition of a two megapixel Vision HAWK C-Mount camera and expanded capabilities in the AutoVISION operating software.
The new suite also includes various advanced vision, barcode reading, and lighting technology, developed to help manufacturers to ensure accurate data collection in end-of-line packaging processes.
Microscan global packaging market manager Juan Pablo Biermayr said today, packaging systems are under strong demands to ensure the quality of packaging while at the same time maximizing production flow.
"Because of this, many packaging manufacturers are focusing on the latest vision technologies for automated applications to monitor, track, and record critical data for identification and quality inspection," Biermayr added.
The company said it is showcasing its AutoVISION machine vision at Pack Expo, being held at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center from 28-31 October 2012.
