Novum establishes new early-stage clinical facility in Houston

Operations at the 55,000ft2 GCP-compliant facility are expected to commence in August 2013.

Novum chief executive officer Christopher Chamberlain said, "Like our other research facilities, it will provide a safe, convenient, and pleasant environment for our study participants."

The facility will house seven research units to effectively use 225 beds.

Early phase research studies that need continuous cardiac and other specialized safety monitoring will be conducted at an intensive monitoring unit with 12 beds.

The floor plan and layout were designed to carry out various study design types.
