OriGene Technologies has released 5,000 purified human proteins, representing comprehensive offering of human cell produced human proteins.
Reportedly, OriGene’s recombinant proteins are purified from HEK293 cells transiently transfected with TrueORF cDNA clones. Mammalian cell expressed proteins are superior to other expression systems in that it produces proteins with authentic protein structure, post-translational modifications and functions. These proteins have wide range applications in basic life science research, drug discovery and development, claims the company.
The company said that in addition to catalog protein offering, it also provides custom protein expression and purification service tailored to specific research needs, including protein domains with different tagging options, expression systems, different purity and quantity.
Maryland-based, OriGene Technologies is a developer of processes for isolating full-length cDNA, and commercialized an extensive gene bank of authentic full-length cDNA clones. Leveraging its comprehensive cDNA collection, OriGene has expanded its offering to include shRNA, qPCR, proteins and antibodies.
