Patheon, a global provider of drug development and manufacturing services to the international pharmaceutical industry, has added development and manufacturing softgel capability in its Cincinnati facility, providing the pharmaceutical industry a new contract provider for this popular drug delivery system.

Further to the addition of the new drug delivery system, the company has named Edgar Jaynes as its associate director of pharmaceutical development services.
Dr Jaynes comes to Patheon with experience in product development and manufacturing, particularly in soft gel technology. Dr Jaynes comes to Patheon from Banner Pharmacaps, where he has been for the past 14 years.
