PDS, Mettler Toledo Integrate ToxData, Quantos To Improve Security Of Preclinical Processes

PDS Pathology Data System (PDS) and Mettler Toledo (MT), a global manufacturer of weighing technology, have integrated their mission-critical software system ToxData and powder dosing system Quantos respectively to improve the security and regulatory compliance of preclinical processes.

MT claimed that Quantos provides dose filling speed and accuracy in the preclinical lab. ToxData, a protocol-driven software system, will be used for acquiring, measuring and reporting preclinical study data.

Through the interface of the two systems, accurate work lists can be sent to the dosing system and dose preparations will be filled automatically without the labor intensive efforts normally associated with a manual process. The joint system automatically identifies and handles different target amounts, reducing the risk of false dosings.

Matthias Gietenbruch, head of automated weighing and dosing of MT, said: “Bringing the integration of Quantos and ToxData together in the preclinical laboratory is a landmark for efficiency and accuracy. We are pleased to forging this alliance with PDS. They have distinguished themselves as being customer-focused and leaders in innovative preclinical software solutions.”

Reto Aerni, CEO of PDS, said: “PDS has always taken pride in raising the bar in the preclinical space. The opportunity to work with MT in such an innovative project and provide our mutual customers a synergistic value that is simply unavailable anywhere else is exciting and representative of the best that both our companies stand for.”
