Pharsight introduces advanced Phoenix software suite

Pharsight, a provider of software and scientific services to improve productivity and decision-making in clinical drug development, has introduced new and advanced suite of Phoenix software.

Phoenix is a PK/PD modeling software platform that includes a range of tools that can be used individually or together.

Pharsight claims the advanced Phoenix will support Windows 7, and offers a Job Management System that will allow users to remotely execute compute intensive jobs.

Pharsight general manager Daniel Weiner said with this release of Phoenix, users are getting a more mature, but modern platform that offers a range of capabilities.

"For example, Phoenix offers the ability to perform population PK/PD modeling within a validated environment; the ability to build graphical workflows that can access third party tools such as R, PsN, Xpose, SAS, S-Plus and NONMEM; and the ability to build IVIVC correlations to optimize bioequivalence trial design, to name but a few," Weiner said.

Pharsight is a Certara company, which focuses on reducing the barriers between the phases of research to speed discoveries in chemistry and enable pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to achieve improvements in the development and use of therapeutic products.

Certara unites Pharsight and Tripos, which provides scientific solutions enabling life science researchers to improve the efficiency of molecular discovery.
