Qualitest Pharma Toresmide tablets win FDA approval

Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Endo Pharmaceuticals, has received US Food & Drug Administration's (FDA) approval for Toresmide tablets (generic Demadex) in 5mg, 10mg, 20mg and 100mg strengths.

The drug has been approved as a treatment for endema associated with congestive heart failure, renal disease, or hepatic disease.

Qualitest Pharma said the FDA’s approval for Toresmide tablets is also for the treatment of hypertension alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.
