Ranbaxy introduces esomeprazole tablets in UK

Ranbaxy, a subsidiary of Ranbaxy Laboratories, has introduced esomeprazole 20 mg and 40 mg tablets in the UK.

Esomeprazole is a generic bio-equivalent version of the product Nexium in the UK.

Esomeprazole is used to treat dyspepsia, peptic ulcer disease (PUD), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD/GERD) and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Ranbaxy Europe regional director Debashis Dasgupta said they are committed to bring affordable medicines for the benefit of patients and healthcare systems worldwide and in Europe.
