news.RealtimeTechnologies Ltd, a provider of electronics manufacturing services, plans to set up an office in Cambridge, Massachusetts for a division called Shimmer Research. Shimmer Research manufactures wearable sensors that send patients' vital signs to health care providers. It has 15 employees in Dublin and has hired two so far to work at its newly leased space on Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge. It also plans to hire five employees in the coming months.

Shimmer Research vice president Kieran Daly said, “We have 30 to 40% of our business in the US, and the majority of that is in the northeast corridor. So it just makes sense for us to be here, in the Boston med tech cluster.”
