Saudi Basic Industries (Sabic) has commissioned unit Yansab 2290.SE, to start production from its petrochemical complex in Yanbu – as reported in Reuters.
The launch was delayed for the Yanbu National Petrochemical Company ‘s (Yansab) 18.5 billion riyal complex ($4.93 billion), from scheduled launch in 2008.
YanSab has production capacity of more than 4 million tons of petrochemical products annually, including ethylene, ethylene-glycol, proplene, and polyethylene, said the company. Sabic has an ownership of 51% in Yansab.
