Siemens claimed that Sitrans LVS100, which is used primarily for high or low level indication and redundancy of continuous level systems as overfill or dry run protection is impervious to external vibrations, and the vibrating fork design ensures the sensing tines are kept clean for reduced maintenance.
Siemens said that the new device detects the presence of material with bulk densities starting at 60grams/litre (3.8lb/ft3) in mining, food, plastics, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries in hazardous applications.
Sitrans LVS100 has a compact design that can be top-, side-, or angle-mounted. The rotating enclosure ensures easy installation and wiring, and can be easily connected to an alarm system or control room. Sitrans LVS100 is exceptionally durable with no moving parts.
The stainless steel process connections and rugged aluminium housing provide high resistance to mechanical forces, ensuring a long reliable service life, said Siemens.
