SOCMA Adds Five New Members

Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) has added five new companies for membership, bringing the total number of new members this year to 13.

SOCMA’s new members include: Arichem, Huffmaster, Marsh USA, NCM Hersbit Chemical and NCM Hersbit Chemical.

The companies, who range from specialty chemical manufacturers to security providers to insurance brokers, were approved by SOCMA’s board of governors at their June 15 meeting in Washington, DC.

SOCMA said that with the addition of NCM Hersbit Chemical of Shanghai, China, its total international membership jumps to 60.

Larry Brotherton, chairman of board of governors at SOCMA, said: “The addition of these five new companies speaks to the quality of SOCMA’s membership and we are pleased to welcome them on board.

“Companies continue to join SOCMA for business enhancement opportunities, as well as compliance and regulatory assistance. We are committed to continually improving our benefits to add greater value to our membership.

“New members like Texas Molecular are already taking advantage of their SOCMA membership by engaging members of Congress on issues facing the industry. Last week, the Texas-based company joined some 30 other chemical industry executives for SOCMA’s Washington Fly-In, an annual event designed to encourage members to participate in the policy making process.”
