Soho Flordis International takes over Ginsana and ProThera

Global natural medicine company Soho Flordis International (SFI) has announced the acquisition of Ginsana from Switzerland-based Pharmaton and US-based ProThera as part of its expansion worldwide.

A Boehringer Ingelheim Group company, Pharmaton’s Ginsana adds manufacturing facilities and a line of six natural medicine brands besides worldwide distributor network to SFI.

Ginsana’s products will continue to carry the same brand and trademark rights will be held by Pharmaton.

ProThera headquarters in Reno, Nevada, is expected to serve as a regional hub for the commercialisation of the SFI Group product portfolio and future pipeline and add product line of probiotics and dietary supplements.

SFI CEO Nigel Pollard said, "The parallel acquisitions of Ginsana and ProThera has not only extended our network and pipeline of natural medicine brands with great legacy, it allows us to enter into the attractive field of probiotics."
