news.SolVin, a division of Solvay Advanced Polymers, has selected ChemPoint.com, an e-distributor of specialty and fine chemicals, to represent its Ixan SGA-1 PVDC resin. Effective immediately, ChemPoint is expected to provide marketing, sales, and order fulfillment for Ixan SGA-1 in the US.

Reportedly, ChemPoint will manage the complete order and fulfillment process for SolVin’s Ixan SGA-1 PVDC resin, from order placement to delivery to technical support.
Diego Lancksweert, business manager of PVDC at SolVin, said: “What initially attracted us to ChemPoint was their established presence in the market for PVDC resins. They know this market inside and out. In addition, our customers will benefit from ChemPoint’s technically proficient marketing and sales team, as well as their world-class distribution capabilities.”

PVDC enhances and upgrades packaging materials by giving them barrier properties, which prevent the transmission of water vapor or oxygen or the ingress of odors. It provides strong seals to make hermetic packages and improves the appearance of packaging through its transparency, gloss, print adhesion and scratch resistance.
