Spectrum Chemicals & Laboratory Products has signed a new contract with the University of California System for research laboratory chemicals, consumables, and personal safety and equipment requirements.

Spectrum Chemicals & Laboratory Products is a California-based company that manufactures and distributes fine chemicals, laboratory supplies and equipment and personal safety supplies.

Founded in 1971 as a fine chemical manufacturer, Spectrum, a division of Spectrum Chemical Mfg Corp, has grown into a global supplier that serves the academic, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, and analytical laboratory markets.

Spectrum Chemicals & Laboratory Products claimed that all of the company’s US facilities are ISO 9001:2008 certified. The California and New Jersey plants are also FDA registered drug establishments and operate under current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).

Marc Hayem, CEO of Spectrum, said: “We are very excited to have been awarded this contract. The breadth of our offering in lab chemicals, supplies and equipment as well as our local inventory in California are a perfect fit for the University of California System and we are extremely honored by their trust in our service.”
