Teva launches Prednisolone EC tablets

Teva Pharmaceutical (Teva), a pharmaceutical company, has launched generic version of Prednisolone enteric-coated (EC) tablets.

Teva claims that Prednisolone EC tablets are a generic version of Deltacortril from Alliance Pharmaceuticals and are indicated in the treatment of inflammatory and allergic conditions such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis and colitis.

Prednisolone is available immediately in the Teva 360 livery, which is designed to aid patient safety, as 2.5mg and 5mg enteric-coated tablets in pots of 28 tablets.

Teva UK commercial director Kim Innes said that they were delighted to be bringing a generic version of this product to the UK market, and at the same time further broaden their portfolio.
