Teva Pharmaceutical Industries has resolved patent suit with Pfizer on the generic version of anti-epileptic medication, also called an anticonvulsant, Neurontin (gabapentin) capsules and tablets.

Neurontin is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat seizures caused by epilepsy in adults and children who are at least 12 years old.
The lawsuit was filed by Pfizer on Teva and its subsidiary IVAX Pharmaceuticals for selling of its generic version of Neurontin tablets and capsules by violating its patent.
Following the settlement, the US District Court for the District of New Jersey has dismissed the case providing release to Teva and its subsidiary.
The financial terms of the settlement are not been disclosed.
