ThermoGenesis signs new distribution agreements for cord blood products

ThermoGenesis has signed two new channel partner agreements , as part of its continuing strategy to enhance distribution, technical service and clinical support initiatives for its cord blood products.

The agreement signed with HVD Biotech Vertriebs (HVD), calls for HVD to distribute the AXP AutoXpress System and BioArchive System in 10 European countries and 13 Middle Eastern countries.

In another agreement signed with Comercio Exportacao e Importacao de Materiais Medicos (CEI), the AXP and BioArchive will be marketed by CEI in nine Latin American countries.

ThermoGenesis commercial operations vice president Hal Baker said,"We believe these new partners will further both our existing customer relationships and market expansion efforts for our best-in-class offerings."

HVD managing director Hermanus van Duyne said, "We believe there are significant opportunities with cord blood banks in these regions and that ThermoGenesis’ offerings provide important competitive advantages."

Since 2000 CEI has been distributing the BioArchive system and ThermoGenesis manual cord blood processing and storage sets in Latin American countries.

CEI chief executive officer Paulo Pacheco said, "We have had a very positive experience with ThermoGenesis over the past 12 years and are excited about the new market opportunities under our expanded relationship with the Company."
