Upsher-Smith unveils improved prenatal vitamin capsule

The once-daily, prescription prenatal vitamin is made of 1.25 mg folic acid, 250 mcg biotin, stool softener, vitamins, minerals and 350 mg of plant-based life’s DHA.

Upsher-Smith Laboratories Medical Affairs senior medical director Gregory Gilmet said before and during pregnancy, the nutritional requirements of a woman, especially her folate intake are critically important.

"The advanced formulation of Nexa® Plus provides expectant mothers with important nutritional vitamins and minerals to help support a healthy pregnancy," Gilmet added.
