VirtualHealth Technologies Enters Into Agreement With Wound Care Innovations

To license out its Cifra Secure Healthcare Platform

VirtualHealth Technologies has reported that its subsidiary Secure eHealth has entered into an agreement with Wound Care Innovations, a subsidiary of Wound Management Technologies, to license out its Cifra Secure Healthcare Platform.

Reportedly, Wound Care Innovations (WCI) will use this secure messaging system, document courier and database to share and compile information for ongoing evidence-based case studies on its patented collagen CellerateRx products for treating diabetic wounds.

WCI will initially focus on using the Cifra platform to exchange secure messages, to transport files with the secure document courier and to store related documents. In the second phase, the Secure eHealth system tray notifier technology will be added to send secure notification alerts to enrolled users.

Jim Renfro, president of VirtualHealth Technologies, said: We are excited to have WCI license our security platform for their physician community. With Cifra the physicians will be able to securely exchange and compile case studies on their wound care products and to discuss difficult and unusual wound cases. With Cifra, we have established two new activities. A secure database that will enable clients like wound care to store all their information in our electronic security vault and a separate Cellerate user database to communicate securely at no additional cost.

Cathy Bradshaw, president of WCI, said: This provides secure communications with our physicians and wound care specialists. Cifra will add a new dimension of communications for our important diabetic ulcer and other evidence based studies.
