Wake Pharma Receives APMA Approval For Wound-Be-Gone

Wound-Be-Gone, an over-the-counter gel for wound healing for both acute and chronic wounds

Wake Pharma (Wake) has received American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) seal of approval for its product – Wound-Be-Gone, based on a new oxygen free radical binding technology.

Wound-Be-Gone is an over-the-counter gel that demonstrates enhanced wound healing in varied clinical settings with both acute and chronic wounds, the company claims.

Macy Hall Jr., director of wound care center at Specialty Hospital of Washington, said: Recently, I have seen several patients in the new wound unit at the United Medical Center who presented as excellent candidates for the Wound-Be-Gone wonder cream. I want to coin the term ‘Wonder Cream’ because I have seen a series of miraculous results. If at all possible, I would like to obtain more samples to try on these patients in the clinic. We are seeing at least 2 – 3 patients a week that can benefit directly from Wound-Be-Gone.
