West Coast Clinical Trials Inaugurates Second Facility In Costa Mesa, California

West Coast Clinical Trials, a private minority-owned independent Phase I-IV clinical research organisation located in Southern California, has opened a second facility in Costa Mesa, California.

West Coast Clinical Trials said that the new unit is expected to enable it to house additional clinical research participants and expand its base of operations.

Tom Pillsworth, vice president of business development at West Coast Clinical Trials, said: “The new unit has been designed specifically for the continued strong interest by sponsors in conducting Phase I studies in special populations.

“Specifically, given our recent conduct of multiple Phase I pediatric trials (asthma, ADHD, GERD, allergic rhinitis, etc.) as a single site and continued interest in this study type, the Costa Mesa facility allows for these studies to be run apart from other adult population studies we currently have planned. It also is perfect for some of the special populations that are being requested by sponsors including: COPD, renally-impaired, Parkinson’s Disease, cystic fibrosis, Alzheimer’s Disease, etc.”
