Speciality Monomers for Contact Lenses

The main monomer produced containing the PC group is MPC (also known as HEMA-PC). This high purity material is made on a multi-ton quantity using a proprietary process. MPC is used in contact lens manufacture and in the production of biocompatible polymer systems. A number of other PC monomers are available on an R&D scale for evaluation purposes.
